French ambassador donates to Muriton Boys' Home

MANCHIONEAL, Portland:

French Ambassador Ginette de Matha, has responded to the plight of the Muriton Boys' Home in Manchioneal, which was ravaged during the passage of Hurricane Sandy last month.

The ambassador last week donated $1 million to assist with repairs. The child-care facility was severely battered by the Category One hurricane, resulting in extensive damage to outdoor bathrooms and toilets, to the rooves of dormitories, windows, ceilings, and house mistress quarters.

"It's a pleasure to provide assistance to the people of this country. Our efforts are geared at assisting schools and children's home, which were damaged by the hurricane. And today we are donating $1 million to the Muriton home for boys. This donation will be channel through the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management," said the french ambassador.
