The Gleaner's 24-hour Kingston photo shoot takes place today

SAY CHEESE! The Gleaner's 24-hour photo shoot in the nation's capital begins today! Scores of photographers and photography enthusiasts will be out capturing scenes of Kingston.

The Capturing Kingston photo shoot is hosted by The Gleaner as part of its coverage of the 140th anniversary celebration of Kingston as the capital of Jamaica.

It will end at 11:59 p.m. and selected pictures will be published in a special City of Kingston photo album in early December.

Participants will be further rewarded with prizes in 10 categories. These include Best Residential/Housing, Best Environment, Best People, Best Nature, Best Overall, Most Innovative, Best Commercial/Business, Best Human Interest, Best News and Most Historical.

Sponsors Courts Jamaica Ltd and LIME are promising it will be worth the effort. Stewart's Motors is providing transportation services.
