THE EDITOR, Sir:
Jamaica is cash-strapped. Hurricane Sandy exposed some shabby work done on the island's infrastructure.
It is time for the minister of defence, who is the prime minister, to utilise the Jamaica Defence Force engineer unit to fix hospitals, schools, police stations, health centres and farm roads. She will save money in the kitty.
I know that a lot of members of parliament will resist this suggestion, because the 'boys' need to 'eat a food'. Madam Prime Minister, the ball is in your court. Don't lose the serve.
