Child's Birth Month: October

How did you feel when you found out that you were pregnant?

It was a roller coaster of emotions. I went from being excited to down right scared then anxious, then completely ecstatic all in a matter of minutes.

How much weight did you gain?

I gained about 45lb.

What is your workout regime like?

Workout? What workout?! Haven't gotten the chance to work out, but I can't wait to get back to my squats and lunges.

What is the greatest thing about motherhood?

The greatest thing about motherhood is knowing you are like an artist creating a masterpiece and you get to decide what brushes ... what paint ... what exactly you want to create ... our children are reflections of ourselves and we decide as parents how we raise them.

What is the greatest challenge so far?

Learning how to do everything with one hand ... because the baby is always in the other.

What is the best advice that you have been given and what is the best advice you would give to another new mother?

The best advice I've been given is "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6. It is simple, but quite profound. I would advise any new mother to take it one day at a time, dealing with a baby can be quite draining. Remember your 'me' time; you can't possibly do a great job of caring for your baby if you don't take care of yourself.

Are you thinking about baby number two?

I would love to have more children, but in a few years time.

Who does baby take after the most?

It is hard to tell who she takes after at this point because she is only six weeks old. But if I had to choose, I would say her daddy.

How has the response from fans been?

The response from fans has been positive! Lots of well wishes.

What is the one question that you get asked the most?

Pics! Everyone asks to see a picture of my baby girl and they want to know her name.

In what ways have you changed since becoming a mother?

I now have an even bigger appreciation and understanding for parents, especially mothers. I'm experiencing a greater sense of what love can be the love you have for your kid/kids is absolutely boundless.
