Child's Birth Month: September

How did you feel when you found out that you were pregnant?

Elated. I was also a little concerned about my career and getting my body back, but I was thrilled because I have always wanted to be a mother.

How much weight did you gain?

25lb.

What is your workout regime like?

I have been to the gym three times since having baby 10 weeks ago. My regime is basically breastfeeding and eating as healthily as possible.

What is the greatest thing about motherhood?

It's really hard to name one, but the most important was knowing that I was a vessel that God used to continue life. That was a pretty amazing experience.

What is the greatest challenge so far?

Sleep deprivation: There is a reason why we were told to sleep eight hours per night.

What is the best advice that you have been given and what is the best advice you would give to another new mother?

The best advice is to follow your maternal instincts. As a mom you will always know what's good for your child, so always follow your gut instincts. The best piece of advice that I have ever gotten was from my mother who was a midwife before she died and it was quite simple, "Breast is best" and also the importance of breathing.

Are you thinking about going for baby number two?

Going for my son next year.

Who does baby take after the most?

People say that she looks like her dad, but I disagree. However, she does have my height and my temperament. She's the happiest in the morning and that's definitely not Daniel because he's not a morning person, so that's all me.

How has the response from fans been?

Awesome. The love has been unbelievable. People are eager to see her and to get to know her, so it has really been sweet.

What is the one question that you get asked the most?

"When are we going to see pictures?"

In what ways have you changed since becoming a mother?

My value system is even more strengthened. Her smile gives me energy. I didn't know that I could love this much because there is no limit to the love that I have for her. Having a child has now made me even closer to God.
