THE CHRISTMAS fever has taken hold in downtown Kingston with bargain prices and sharp discounts.

Last Thursday saw thousands of persons travelling to the market district for the traditional 'Christmas in the City' shopping day organised by the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation.
