THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am an educator and education policymaker and I have taught in Jamaica at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. I have had governance responsibilities at all three levels.

From where I sit, I observe overwhelming support for Education Minister Ronald Thwaites' courageous words and actions, specifically regarding the offending health and family life education text. It is not only that we support you, but that what you have said is right. What is good and right is true, whether you are supported or not.

We will continue supporting you in right action for the benefit of our children and our nation.
