God has given men (the male of the species) the authority to name and even rename things that He formed. Many of the problems that exist are because the men are not walking in their authority and are not fulfilling the purpose for which they were each created. They have been given a divine authority to bless and name things (Genesis 2: 19) and they are not doing so.

A man in genuine fellowship with God has amazing intelligence, distinct knowledge of speech and the capacity to connect words to ideas. When righteous men begin to rise up, rename some things that are out of line, speak words of life within the nation and over businesses and family - only then will we see change within politics, the economy and even within the families of the nation.

God created man and then He downloaded into man plans and ideas (Genesis 2) . Whatever God downloaded into him, then he would name it and God sanctioned. Men need to rise up and be the backbone God created them to be within the nation.

Let us also take a look at single women in leadership. While many of them do very well in their various fields of endeavour, there is still an incompleteness and imbalance that can only be corrected when joined to a man. It helps to give a better balance of things and even greater success. They cannot effectively fulfill their purpose unless there is a man at their side to birth their purpose. (Genesis 2: 22) If Adam did not name the being God created to complement him, what would she be called? The male-female component brings balance to the family unit, to the communities and the nations.

Men Can Create A New Day

If God has given the authority to name and to bless, then men must know the power of their speech. Whatever sounds or words dominate the airwaves or the media, then that will become the centre of the environment. So, if we speak hopelessness and destruction, then that we will reap. If we continue to say 'nuh betta nuh deh', or that the Church isn't doing anything, then that is what will loom over the communities and nations. What we speak is powerful and carries weight (Proverbs 18: 22). But even if our leaders are not the best, we need to start speaking the things that we want them to be for the people.

Since God has given men the privilege to name and to bless, then the men need to begin declaring the right things over the nation and all contained within. Nothing happens until a word is spoken.

Remember, words create, form, shape, encourage, direct, bless, curse, heal, hurt, increase and multiply (Genesis 1: 3-5). Negativity and unclean words are defiling our nation. Words are weapons. Even good leaders, when hurt and abused, walk away from their very calling because of words! When the speech of our people - and in particular, of our men - changes, then we will see change begin as well. It was the spoken word that created economy.

Changing Your Circumstances

Your circumstances and the mountains that exist within your life or within the nation can be radically removed as you speak over your bills and debt by faith on a daily basis (Matthew 17: 20).

Major things can happen as you lay your hands over your customer listing and speak prosperity. Watch your sales increase.

Declare positive changes over your bank account on a daily basis, by faith, and keep going and you will be amazed at what will take place.

Speak words of encouragement and declare great things over your children by faith, and over the nation, and you will see how the nation can soar out of its current situation.

Declare that the politicians and the lawmakers will discern clearly before they go into any bilateral agreement, and that they will see any dangers pending and thus seek the Lord for direction so that the nation can be protected from those waiting to consume it.

Let us believe that the politicians will unite for the sake of the nation, put their partisan ideals on the back-burner and put the nation and its people first.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I declare that this will be one of your best Christmases yet!

I declare a blessing on the management and staff of the Jamaica Gleaner Company, and that God will continue to give them new ideas.
