Jamaica's goal attack, Vanessa Walker, has signed with the Loughborough Lightning in England for the 2013 Superleague season, which is scheduled to begin on February 12.
The 22-year-old Walker last represented Mico University College in the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) Berger Paints Super League last season.
Walker will join fellow countrywoman Afrika Morris on the Loughborough Lightning roster for the 2013 season.
Loughborough won one game from six matches last season.
The team also includes Barbados player Nikita Piggott, along with English players Jade Forbes-Wattley, Jodie Gibson and Hannah Joseph.
Walker last represented the Sunshine Girls in a three-Test series against England in the United Kingdom last September. The Jamaicans lost the series 2-1.
She was also a member of the Jamaica team which won the Americas Federation of Netball Associations (AFNA) Caribbean Championships in Trinidad and Tobago in July.
The soft-spoken Walker, a past student of the Convent of Mercy Academy (Alpha), has been playing the sport for the past 11 years.
She was also a member of Jamaica's Under-21 team which won the bronze medal at the World Youth Championships in the Cook Islands, in 2009.
