The second round of the sprint hurdles, the semi-finals, will be run on Friday, starting at 8:45 a.m. The Class Two girl's 100m hurdles will be run first, while the Class Three girls 80m will close off the obstacle events at 10:15 a.m. The finals in these events will be run off on Saturday afternoon, with the 70m hurdles for Class Four girls leading off the finals at 2:55 p.m., with the Class One boys 110m set for 4:10 p.m.

The boys and girls' Open 400 metres hurdles will also begin earlier, as the preliminary rounds will take place on Wednesday's second day, with the girls down to take the track first at 5:45 p.m, while the boys will compete at 6 p.m. The finals will be contested on Friday's fourth day, with the girls running at 7:10 p.m and the boys 10 minutes later at 7:20 p.m.

Last year, five finals were contested on Wednesday's second day, but this time there will be six. In addition to the boys Class One long jump, there will also be the Class Two boys long jump final. The latter will be the first final for boys, at 4:10 p.m., while the Class One event is set to start at 5:55 p.m.

Other field-events finals on the day will be the girls Class One discus and the new event, girls Class Two shot put. The triple jump Open for girl's will take place on the Thursday, as opposed to Wednesday last year. The girl's Open 200m steeplechase final will run off at 9:25 p.m., with the boys event being the other track final on the day.
