All bakers like to boast that their creations are the best. But according to Kerin Scott, marketing assistant at Mother's Enterprises Limited, operators of Devon House Bakery, there's simply no pastry that comes close to Devon House pastry. And their customers certainly agree.

Since 2011, the historically significant location has been buzzing with sugary goodness, and 2013 promises to be an even sweeter year for their customers.

There are the good ol' favourites - plantain tart, potato pudding and their signature handmade square patties. It's a fact that people travel from far and wide to get their hands on these patties, available in soy, beef, lobster, shrimp and chicken.

The bakery closed the curtains on 2012 with their gift cards and the introduction of a cappuccino cheesecake and chocolate macaroon that are fast becoming hits.

According to Scott, the Devon House Bakery, difference lies in the premium, all natural ingredients bought from local farmers, and producers creating a taste that cannot be duplicated.

In 2013, they will be rolling out their Fall in Love Again campaign. This will include a range of exotic pastries as well as expanding their cupcake and donut lines. She told Food, the bakery likes to keep things interesting and give their customers something to look forward to. And do they ever!

On Valentine's Day, Devon House will serve up more sweet treats for its dessert romance event and every third Thursday and second Sunday customers can expect something special. So if you feel that sweet craving in 2013, there is no doubt where to get it satisfied from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
