Just like the '50s and '60s, destination Jamaica is back and the international rich and famous are all jetting in.

Oh my word, what a simply fabulous year destination Jamaica has had! And talk about ending the season with a bang! My dears, it simply does not get any better than this as, indeed, not only was Jamaica the preferred getaway for the über classes, it was the place to party and be seen for the Yuletide and New Year's Eve celebrations, from Port Antonio, to Negril as, indeed, the rich, the famous, the quoted and oft misquoted, and blue bloods, all made it destination Jamaica, and partied up a storm!

Dears, from the über rich Michael Lee-Chin, who saw in the New Year with a shortlist of friends at the Trident Resort over there in Port Antonio, to Chris Blackwell - who hosted the likes of the Karl von Habsburg, he being the current heir to the Austrian throne and the de facto head of the exiled Austro-Hungarian Imperial family, and his fabulous wife, Francesca von Habsburg, she being the daughter and heiress of Swiss industrialist Baron Hans Heinrich von Thyssen-Bornemisza, and one of the largest art collections in the World, which has seen her dubbed in some quarters as the 'Queen of Arts' - and their children - at his New Year's celebration over at his ultra-fab GoldenEye Boutique resort in Boscobel, St Mary. Also heating up the scene was the Jamaica-born, international sensation - songstress, actress, diva and vamp - the daahling Grace Jones; and her sibling Chris Jones.

At the fab Round Hill - where the reigning glitterati and glamourzons were in attendance, headed by Ralph and Ricky Lauren - you know we are talking nothing but peaches and crème here!

And then there was the sighting of P-Diddy over in Negril; Mark Hart birthday celebrations at the Caves, in Negril, which saw a number of international jet-setters flying in for the do, you know we are talking one fabulous party season here!

Dears, it was like that and then some as, indeed, just like the '50s and '60s, destination Jamaica is back and the international rich and famous are all jetting in to have their party in the sun, and pumpkins, how!

And then my dears, there was the party of parties at Hedonism II, over in Negril, which saw a number of assorted millionaires and the fabulous wealthy in attendance, but incognito no less as they, too, opted for variety as they partied like rock stars to see out the season.

My dears, all be told, Jamaica was rocking from Negril to Morant Point and every nook and cranny in between, and it made for a simply fabulously marvellous holiday season.
