THE EDITOR, SIR:

I HAVE an issue with the fare increase I hear that the Jamaica Urban Transit Company is planning. But moving from a fare of $80 to $131 is a big jump. I hope it is not true because that is too much. Why not round it off at $100? Moreover, a lot of us can hardly find the $80 right now.

I know for sure that I can't afford it because I have to take three or four buses every day five days per week and I am already not earning much. You see, these are the things we Jamaicans need to demonstrate and talk about. Besides, I notice that us Jamaicans when we have problems like this all we do is just mumble to ourselves and expect things to change or go right. But it doesn't work like that. People, you must talk, do something, say no to foolishness, say no to corruption and no to injustice. Protect yourself in every way.
