Five members of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) have been selected for posts on the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) standing committees, as the body hopes to continue its rehabilitation process.

The list of those selected is headed by Bruce Gaynor, second vice-president of the JFF, who has been named as a member of the disciplinary committee, a post once held by JFF President Captain Horace Burrell.

Gaynor is joined by Raymond Anderson, third vice-president (JFF), who has been appointed to the Appeals Committee; Elaine Walker-Brown, who has been given a spot on the Women's Committee; Peter Prendergast on the Referees Committee, and Raymond Grant, JFF general secretary, who has been appointed to the Finance Committee.

Burrell, for his part, remains a high-ranking official as an ex-officio member of the CFU board and, along with CONCACAF president Jeffrey Webb, will sit as a part of committee meetings.

The JFF president revealed that more committees were expected to be formed in the coming weeks, and could include a few more Jamaican appointments.

"Those appointments are just a few of the committees, and there will be more formed in the coming days, which could include a few more Jamaican officials," Burrell said.

The CFU is still considered to be in reconstruction mode after finding itself embroiled in the now-infamous cash-for-votes scandal a little less than two years ago. The controversy led to the resignation of then CFU president Trinidadian Jack Warner. Burrell was one of three other Caribbean officials suspended at the time and, as a result, withdrew his candidacy for the presidential post as well as plans to run for president of the regional body CONCACAF. The Jamaican was, however, upon his readmittance to the sport, named as a part of the CFU Normalisation Committee, which oversaw the region's football affairs ahead of the election of a new board. Antigua and Barbuda general secretary Gordon Derrick was then elected president of the CFU, along with a full executive, in an election held in May of last year.
