And so, the year 2013 is off to a rollicking start as the beautiful people are all about celebrating life and giving back to those most in need!

As it was in 2012, so it is this year - the fab continue to celebrate their achievements and milestones; and partying for worthy causes, while others are all about, bleating like sheep in public, whilst like the historically tragic Marie Antoinette, their response to the cries of the masses is that they should eat "bulla".

Anyway my dears, the age of Capricorn is still upon us and so beautiful people across the globe are celebrating everywhere. So, we salute those celebrating this cycle, as indeed, the partying does go on. With that in mind, we say cheers to: the stunning Jenny Berry; Media Personality Gerry McDaniel; the beautiful Nicky Channer; Dr Lloyd Waller; the enterprising David Shields; the affable Amitabh Sharma; and Madhouse Records' Janet Davidson, now in Florida - all of whom celebrate their birthday, today!

Celebrating tomorrow, the 12th, will be: the charming Joy McHugh; businessman Denny Chandiram Chatani over in Montego Bay; Pulse's international Model Chrystal Patterson, now in New York; and the charmingly fab Elsa Hall-Phidd, formerly of the JCF and Morant Bay, St Thomas, now in Florida.

On Sunday, the 13th day of the first month of the year 2013, those celebrating will include: Stuart DuQuesnay; the fab Rita Armandi; Devon Francis; the lovely Andrea Tingling; and Ike Williams, who celebrates a very special milestone, in the Big Apple.

Come Monday, January 14, the fab Carol Fofanah; the charmingly lovely Carol D'Aguilar Ivey; the lovely Anne Lee; Minister Phillip Paulwell and the fab Denise Hird Walsh; will be among the chief birthday celebrants. Carmen Tipling celebrates on Monday the 15th.

The celebrations continue on Tuesday the 16th as: one-time King of the Dancehall Winston 'Yellowman' Foster; the elegant Barbara Morrell-Jones; Hotelier Christopher Jarrett; Oludia Brown; Albert 'Ilawi' Johnson; the fab Sophia Leahong over in Montego Bay; the charmingly lovely Carole Matalon Preshette, now in Weston, Florida; former Immigration Officer Raphael Brown, now in Kissimmee, Florida; the lovely Judi Woodstock-Manzano, now in Trinidad the lovely Darlene Richards from Hayes, Clarendon, now in Brooklyn, New York; and the always-happening Owen Richard Miller-Bonner, now in Amsterdam, Holland; will all share the same birthday!

Come next Wednesday, the 17th, it will be all about: the lovely Michelle Bovell, Howard 'Judah' Goulbourne; the talentedKelly Joe Gordon; Lebert Brown; the dapper Paul Johnson, now in New York; and the charming Lupe-Nena Ganzalez, in Wilmington, California.

And on Thursday, the 18th, the celebrations continue, as the: fab Fiona McNeill; the one-time chart-riding entertainer Shabba Ranks; the lovely Rolande Chue-Edwards; Al Taylor; the beautiful Marlene Schorlemmer; the fab Maria Nasralla; the lovely Juleen Powell, over in Mandeville; Raphael Russell, in Brooklyn, New York; the fabulous Donna Pusey, in London; and Michael John Highfield, in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, in the UK - will be among the fab set celebrating birthdays!

Many happy returns all around with Champagne toasts and Beluga treats!!

Georgian Costumed Ball

And, my dears, speaking of fabulous people, places and things, the now buzz is all about the January 19, St James Chapter of the Georgian Society of Jamaica, annual Georgian Costumed Ball and Soiree.

Luvs, slated for the historic and legendary Rose Hall Great House in Montego Bay's Elegant Corridor, the annual smasheroni is promising to be even better than previous stagings and is boasting tours of the reportedly haunted Great House, during the ball. So, you know we are talking one very fab and expectant outing here!

And with prizes on offer for the best costumes and the cost of entry being a nominal fee, we are talking a must attend here, for ghost-hunters, lovers and those who love period celebrations as indeed, they do not come any better than this here does!

Double for Couples

And dears, it promises to be one fabulous weekend of parties and celebrations all across the north coast as indeed, the highly-acclaimed Couples Resorts, signature property - Couples Tower Isle, will be celebrating its 35th anniversary, in what is its signature pomp and circumstance here, so you know we are talking a celebration worthy of the Grande Dame of the All-inclusive Resort brands here and nothing but!

And with her sister property, Couples SanSouci, also in the throes of her anniversary celebration - its anniversary reception and celebrations being hosted the night before on Friday, the 18th, making it a weekend double - you know Jamaica's First Family of Tourism will be out in celebratory mode and nothing but, and thus adding to the family cachet and style to the anniversary celebrations.

And with the buzz being both resorts being sold out for this annual shindig, you know we are talking of a nothing but a Red-carpet Gala here and nothing but!

Dears, simply put, the Couples double celebration is unquestionably one of tourism's hottest outing and with the island's leading socialites and power brokers all expected to attend, its all about the fabulocracy and nothing but!

Still on the rock

And speaking of the fabulocracy - Spanish Town-born and bred International Diva, Grace Jones, is still in town.

P-Diddy's visit to Kingston is still making waves in the international music fraternity. And Italian-born, Malta resident and north coast habitu Francesca De Mayo is now ensconced in her Ocho Rios Condo. And the word from Jamaica Carnival is that its all systems go for Jamaica Carnival- Road March and all - for 2013, so wait for it!
