A cherry-blossom nuptial
Rik James and Rochelle Reid met each other when Rik picked her up from work one afternoon as a favour to her father, who was his boss at the time. Rik found himself in a peculiar situation as he soon started dating his boss's daughter.
Their love for ethnic cuisine and hideaways made Rik's proposal at Little Ochi perfect.
Having dated for over four years, they chose to get married at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Hanover and had a magical reception at the Bellefield Great House in Granville, St James.
Rik, who is a business analyst at National Commercial Bank is a driven and highly motivated individual. His height is a clear depiction of the size of his heart. God has continued to order his steps as Rik continues to trust in Him. Rik's biography is an interesting read. It tells not only of the strength of his character but also the joy with which he loves his wife.
Rochelle, who is a technical officer for the National Export Strategy, is as devoted as she is loyal - a true gem of a person to those who know her and are privileged to call her friend. She loves and cares deeply and passionately. Rik is not only privileged to call her friend but his wife.
At the reception, guests were entertained by the steel pan band playing Gangnam Style and were given a tour of the great house. The happy couple topped off the night by treating guests to a special choreographed dance.
Rochelle wore an exquisite gown from David's Bridal collection. Cathy Stephenson did the make-up for the bride and her ladies-in-waiting, while Ransford Rhoden styled the ladies' hair.
Jennifer Allen and Marie Chin did an amazing job in transforming the chapel and Bellefield into a cherry blossom forest.
The couple escaped to Gee Jam to their extra-special honeymoon hideaway.
