WESTERN BUREAU:

Montego Bay United Football Club (MBUFC), Reggae Youths and Melbourne FC all booked their place in the third round of the St James FA Captain's Bakery and Grill Knockout after respective wins on the weekend.

Donovan Carey's 29th-minute strike enabled MBUFC's U-21 team to secure victory over Seaview after Akeem McCarthy fired them into a 16th-minute lead. But the game was one of missed chances as both teams struggled to wrest control of the match, before McCarthy turned in his first real chance.

Seaview grabbed a late consolation goal when Daina Heaven netted in the 90th minute.

Reggae Youths, on the back of two first-half goals, one from Michael McLeod from the penalty spot in the ninth and the other from Ocarey Spence in the 17th minute, eased past Revelation 2-1, with Conroy Clarke netting Revelation's goal in the 59th minute.

Elsewhere, Melbourne had to settle their clash with Little Miami through penalty kicks (3-2), when they played to a 1-1 draw after regulation and extra time.
