Saint International model Brad Allen is one of the galaxy of international male fashion stars who are now in Milan for the Fall 2013 menswear designer collections. Brad is the only Jamaican male model representing the island this season.
Allen scored runway appearances for two of Italy's top shows this season - Z. Zegna and DSquared. The DSquared Collection by Canadian twins Dean and Dan Caten was titled La Nouvelle Noir and received great reviews from the international press which descended on the European fashion capital for the twice-yearly event (the Spring Collections are shown in June).
Z. Zegna also captivated the style cognoscenti as the reviews from style.com's Matthew Schneier summarised the general sentiments stating "as a visual spectacle of fashion, this ranked among the highest of the day, and the quality is unimpeachable".
"It seems Allen's look of refinement and understated elegance has appealed to the influential international fashion clients and can result in a very long and successful career," remarked Saint CEO Deiwght Peters, who manages Allen's international career. Peters noted that the model's personality is also a selling point. He outlined, however, that the talented Allen is still in the developmental phase of his international career and predicted that his will be a long and progressive one.
Peters told Outlook that a number of Paris-based agencies have expressed interest in representing Allen and are now scheduling meetings to see him.
Currently, Allen, who hails from the volatile Fletcher's Land in inner-city Kingston, is represented by ELITE Milan. He is one of many Saint male models who have worked with some of the world's leading fashion brands, including Georgio Armani, ETRO, Costume Nationale, Benetton, PUMA Fragrance, Vivienne Westwood, GQ STYLE (Cover), Fendi, Brunello Cuccinelli, British Vogue, Z. Zegna, John Richmond.
In 2012, the agency's men's division was featured among the best international men's agencies in the world - the first and only Caribbean model agency ever to be so featured.
