An affront to 'straight' people

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The police and residents within the area of the Golden Triangle have their hands full. So, too, other well-thinking Jamaicans who deplore the behaviour of homosexuals because the lifestyle is against the teachings of the Bible. Well-thinking Jamaicans are worried as to the best action to take because of the fear of the backlash of the local and international human-rights movements.

The gay community and activists are always suggesting that it is heterosexuals who are attacking them when it is not. This can be observed in the latest attack where one of the gay men was attacked to the point where he was doused with a flammable substance and set on fire while he slept.

That sort of biased assertion that it is heterosexuals who are hurting homosexuals must be stopped, as it is their own gay members who are attacking them.

The business community is also feeling it as well, as they are doing damage to businesses within the area and anywhere they go. One policeman was even hesitant to speak about the issue fearing a backlash from the gay community. Nobody hates them. It's the behaviour that persons dislike as it goes against the teachings of the Bible.
