Fire teachers who don't perform

Published: Tuesday | January 29, 2013 Comments 0

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Those underperforming teachers at Tarrant High School who have been chronically late or absent from school - if the principal's claims are credible - should be dismissed with immediate effect.

Jamaica can't have a group of teachers, who are the nation's educators, behave in such a way that will damage the future of those children at the school. Teachers should be a good example for the leaders of the next generation.

Every year teachers demand an increase in salary from the Government, and some of them are failures. They should pack their bags and go! Let the better ones stay.
