THE EDITOR, Sir:
On the morning of January 28, I drove to work extremely early, and I didn't do my usual rounds of picking up my kids and dropping them off at school.
Lo and behold! I couldn't believe that there were so many people sleeping on the corridors of the General Post Office and the City Centre Police Station on Peters Lane.
Mr Editor, I don't know what has caused these people to be sleeping on the streets, but it's a tell-tale sign of the times we are living in this country.
I'm a man who is aligned to Trench Town, and I can tell you, sir, the signs are worrying. Where are the caregivers of this country? Where are our hard-earned tax dollars going?
Being a man from an extremely poor background, I'm petrified by what is happening to the poor of this country. May God help us.
