Thanks for the lunch money, Digicel

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I just wanted to write to thank Digicel for the bus fare the company had given to a lot of schoolchildren early in January.

This really touched me because I live in Spanish Town, but I go to school in Kingston. That day, I had just enough money to get to school and back home. I decided I wasn't going to buy lunch that day, so I took some bread and butter with me. But I left home early and I reached home late and I knew the bread wasn't going to be enough.

Because Digicel paid for my bus fare that day, I was able to buy some lunch. I've never got anything free in my life. My mother always said that for our family, we always have to work hard for everything we have in life.

So I really appreciate what Digicel did that day. I know I'm not the only one in this position. I know other schoolchildren that feel the same way.

So on behalf of the schoolers, I just want to say a big thank you to Digicel.
