Cops issue perfume warning

Published: Monday | February 4, 2013 Comments 0

The police are warning members of the public to be very careful when purchasing products on the streets, especially perfumes.

According to the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN), "the warning comes against the background of information received that unscrupulous and unlicensed persons are selling perfumes and are asking interested persons to smell paper or other paraphernalia laced with drugs".

The CCN explained that "this allows the perpetrators to rob and commit other crimes against incapacitated customers".

Anyone who has been a victim or has seen this crime taken place is being asked to contact Crime Stop at 311 or 811, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
