THE EDITOR, Sir:
The People's National Party no doubt wants to do good, contrary to what many may believe. Something, however, is wrong.
Whenever the party takes state power, things seem to fall apart and the centre never holds. The party needs to take a very close look at itself. It needs to exorcise the demons which haunt it.
The Jamaican people also need to do deep introspection.
When we demand progress in a nation, think carefully of these words in I Chronicles 28:3: "But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build a house for my name because thou has been a man of war and hast shed blood."
Woe unto the bloody city!
