Jimmy Cliff!
The Gleaner would like to congratulate Jimmy Cliff on winning a Grammy Award for The Best Reggae Album category for his effort, Rebirth. Cliff is the only currently living musician to hold the Order of Merit, the highest honour that can be granted by the Jamaican Government for achievement in the arts and sciences. This is Cliff's second Grammy nod after he won for the 1985 effort Cliff Hanger.
