It's Valentine's Day and couples everywhere are busy trying to make their significant others special with displays of love. Couples in the entertainment industry are no different, and many have made plans to lavish gifts and affection on their loved ones.

Gospel artiste Ryan Mark told The Gleaner that this Valentine's Day will be even more special for he and his wife Dawnette, aka Crissy D, as they are celebrating their anniversary.

"Well, of course I will be spending the day with the wife, we have nothing special planned but from we have each other that's more than enough and it is our sixth wedding anniversary, so we are just giving thanks," he said.

Though not divulging his Valentine's Day plans, Chino told The Gleaner he would be spending the day with his family.

"The day will be shared between my special person and my daughter, who celebrates her birthday today. Valentine's Day is usually a day when partners go the extra mile for each other but I think the other 364 days should be equally as special," he said.

Reggae singer Etana, who recently gave birth to a daughter, said today will be no different for her, as she will be spending it with her family.

"I know Valentine's Day is a day people celebrate love but as Rasta and a lover of the universe, I think people should show love in a special way every day as if it were your last to say I love you and the last to give a kiss."

Cecile, on the other hand, explained that while she may be spending the day working, she also likes to surprise her partner.

"I like to surprise the person I'm with, and I also like to be surprised. Usually both of us are working, but it should be wonderful if the person I'm with is around," she stated

But while the couples are busy reigniting the flames of love, single artistes are enjoying their day in a different way.

D'Angel told The Gleaner she will be spending the day with her son Marco Dean, who will be taking her out to dinner.

She also shared her most memorable Valentine's Day.

"I'm usually the one to plan the surprises! My most memorable Valentine's Day was when I made my partner at the time his favourite dinner. I also set a bath with rose petals and candles and I had on my lingerie and we had a romantic dinner at home."
