Digicel customers cash in on promotion

One month since the launch of the 120 Win Plenty promotion, a total of 60 Digicel customers have each bagged $120,000, sharing in a cash pot of more than $7 million.

Week Three winner Stephen Hamilton, a recent graduate of the University of Technology, has decided to take on what would appear to be a road less travelled, by operating his own business at age 24.

With tourism and hospitality degree under his belt, Hamilton has decided to chase his dream of being a chef extraordinaire. As the owner and executive chef of Eskay Catering, Hamilton has been cooking up a storm across the island by dazzling local food enthusiasts at various culinary competitions. He said this prize will help to further his passion.

"I was overwhelmed when I received the call from Digicel. Words can't explain. This money will definitely go towards my upcoming culinary show, 'Culinary Twist'," he said.

Another of the winners, Donna Smith, is planning to invest in her daughters' education. With her younger daughter preparing for the Grade Six Achievement Test this year, Smith is already in preparation mode to ensure her success. She will also be giving her older daughter a portion of the winnings to kick-start her life after the successful completion of a degree in nursing.

"We are extremely happy to see the positive impact that the promotion has had on the winners and we look forward to more good stories as the promotion progresses. We are always looking for ways to continue to bring value to our customers and 120 Win Plenty continues to create that opportunity," said Annalise Harewood, the company's recharge manager.

The Digicel 120 Win Plenty promotion sees 20 customers winning $120,000 every week until February 21. Customers are encouraged to top up with $120 Digicel call credit or more to qualify to win.
