Are you the master of making your bed in the blink of an eye, especially when you have no time to spare?

Well Courts stores islandwide will be putting those skills to the test in a bed-making competition on February 16.

Customers will be given one minute to make a bed to certain specifications. Each of the 29 Courts stores will be having the fun competition at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

"It's just about being fun and lively," said Michelle-Ann Letman, public relations and promotions officer for Unicomer Jamaica Limited, of the competition which is not new for the chain of stores. "It's really a consumer engagement," she added.

Participants will be judged on criteria such as neatness.

Each month, the furniture-and-appliance chain focuses on one of their product categories. February is bedding month.

Letman said linking their promotions with an exciting or useful activity is their usual approach. "So, when we have computer month, we may have in-store computer classes or (during) small appliances month, we may show people how to make dishes using the microwave," she said. This fun activity is no different.

Customers can sign up in-store, on the day of the competition, to participate. They do not have to do a transaction in order to participate. First-place winners will receive a rug and second-place winners two pillows.
