AXUM continue to lead the Captain's Bakery & Grill St Mary Major League football competition, following a hard fought 1-0 win in their top-of-the-table clash against Galina last weekend.

Axum now have 15 points, three more than Galina.

They are followed by Albion Mountain on 11 points, who are followed by Star Cosmos on eight points.

Highgate Under-21 team on six points follow on six points after their 1-1 draw with Frazerwood in a midweek fixture. Andre Heslop scored for the Highgate juvenile team, while Paul Hutchinson netted for Frazerwood, which had a good week as they earned four points.

Frazerwood got maximum points in an earlier contest in which they beat Albany 2-1.

The tally earned by Frazerwood in the last two rounds advanced the team to five points, one more than Albany, which drew 1-1 against Rangers in the other midweek fixture.

Dwight Thomas scored for Albany in that contest, while Kasseim Williams netted for Rangers, who are languishing at the bottom of the standings on three points.

Windsor, like Albany, have four points.
