US Embassy hosts Blues On The Green
American a capella group Traces of Blue will alight the dome at Emancipation Park for the US Embassy's Blues on the Green (BOTG) event, in celebration of Black History Month.

As a group, Traces of Blue obtained international recognition through the third season of the NBC a cappella competition, 'The Sing-Off'. They have since become a professional ensemble, performing to adoring crowds who appreciate their musical style, which is based in jazz and blues and jazz, which has allowed them to lend their signature sound to genres such as R&B, gospel, pop, hip hop, funk, and many others.
The embassy will use this year's Blues on the Green event to further the spirit of community by inviting each attendee to donate a canned food item to the National Council for Senior Citizens.
