THE EDITOR, Sir:
When Heather Robinson took a stand against gunmanship in politics, she received no support, either from her political bosses or, for that matter, civil society.
We all stand condemned for that lack of support, and Jamaica is the worse for it.
History is repeating itself, and as Santayana says, those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
Kingston Mayor Angela Brown Burke is taking a stance for order and against extortion. Where is the support from central Government and all other members of civil society, service clubs and the Church?
Ben Gurion remarked, "Golda is the only man in my Cabinet." Is Angela the only man in Jamaica?
