CAVE HILL, Barbados (CMC):
Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) benefitted from Raymon Reifer's brilliant all-rounder effort as they crippled Barbados to earn a 59-run win in the third round of the Regional Super50 Championship on Sunday night.
Reifer top-scored with 33 to help CCC fight to 167 all out in the penultimate over, after they opted to bat first at the 3W's Oval in the day/night affair.
In reply, Barbados never recovered from a poor start and slid to 108 all out off 34.3 overs, with Reifer picking up five for 19 with his left-arm seam.
Seamer Chris Jordan, who finished with three for 27 from his 10 overs, left the CCC innings in tatters at 36 for three after accounting for the first three batsmen to fall.
However, Raymon faced 61 deliveries and struck three fours, sharing a 56-run fourth-wicket stand with veteran left-hander Floyd Reifer, who hit 25 from 59 balls, to help pull his side around.
Kyle Mayers (2-28) then struck twice as CCC lost three wickets for eight runs to tumble to 100 for six, before Kevin McClean (27) and Nekoli Parris (25) propped up the innings in 46-run seventh-wicket stand. Off-spinner Ashley Nurse finished with three for 31.
Barbados then lost Kraigg Brathwaite without a run on the board as left-arm spinner Derone Davis (3-31) struck early.
Raymon Reifer followed up to destroy the middle order to send Barbados tumbling to 43 for six, a situation from which they never recovered. Jordan top-scored with 27.
