Searching for Dad

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am seeking your newspaper's help in locating my father, Arnold Fletcher, who left Trinidad in 1947 for Jamaica. He previously lived at Armour Street, Princes Town, Trinidad.

He worked as a supervisor for the Central Water Distribution Authority, forerunner of the Water and Sewerage Authority, as it is now called. At that time, I was four years old.

He corresponded with my mother for about two years after he left Trinidad, and then all contact was lost.

I have always wanted to know what happened to my father. Did he leave for England, as most West Indians of that era did? Did he start another family? Did he stay in Jamaica? My children have been trying on their own through some Jamaican friends to locate him, through the social networks, to no avail.

I can be contacted at 121C Hillview Drive, Morne Roche Village, Williamsville, Trinidad. My telephone numbers are 868-760-8121, 868-328-7752, or 868-656-1069; or at my daughter's email address, sue-ann143@hotmail.com.

DAVID FLETCHER

Williamsville, Trinidad
