Prospect Links continue to hold onto a one-point lead atop the Trelawny Football Association Monymusk Overproof Major League after the weekend's round of matches, that had Coopers Pen and Granville each recording rare victories.
One goal apiece from Shane Palmer in the 27th minute and Dale Williams in the 80th handed 10th-place Cooper's Pen a 2-0 win over Duanvale FC, who are eighth in the standings, trailing Prospect Links by six points after 11 matches.
Links are a point in front of nearest challengers Invaders (19 pts.) and three ahead of Flames FC and Clarks Town (tied for third) on 17 points.
Elsewhere, former junior Reggae Boy, Fabian Dawkins, opened the scoring for Spicey Hill, who edged Kinloss 3-2. Damion Williams (46th) and Terry Haughton (73rd) also scored for Spicey Hill. Girvent Dixon (13th) and Marvin Bent (37th) netted for Kinloss.
Spicey Hill are tied for fifth with Classic FC, both on 16 points, while Kinloss were condemned to a sixth defeat in 11 to remain last in the 12-team standings.
Flames, meanwhile, closed on the leaders with a narrow 1-0 victory over Granville Football Club, courtesy of a Shane Tyrell goal in the 44th minute. Granville are ninth on 13 points after their fourth loss of the season.
