William 'Tommy' Lee shot rounds of 80 and 76 to finish as the overall champion, as the Jamaica Golf Association (JGA) Classic ended on a high note at Caymanas Golf and Country Club.
Lee had a total of seven birdies over the two days of competition that ended on Sunday.
The event was one with a difference, in that those in the men's and senior men's categories competed in handicap flight 0-6, 7-11, 12-17, 18 and over, while super seniors and women participated with handicaps, as well as junior golfers.
National representative Keith Stein finished second in the 0-6 category with scores of 76 and 81, and Lindy Bartley finished third with 78 and 79.
Patrick Gordon had rounds of 81 and 75 and topped the 7-11 flight, while Peter Chin copped second place with 166 and Kevin Murphy was third with 170, beating three other competitors with the same score.
In the 12-17 handicap band, Ian Moore took top spot with 173, courtesy of a last day score of 80. Oliver McIntosh was second with 173 and Orville Marshall was third with 178. Fred Sutherland emerged winner of the 0-9 super senior flight with 161.
Maurice Foster captured the 10-18 flight with 161, while Rachel Price took the first flight title in the 9-16 category and Lesa Nuno won the 17 bplus category. Michelle Gabay and Paul Season were the one-day winners.
The junior golfers were out in full force and came as far as Sandals in Montego Bay. The final tournament of the 2012-13 season will be the Easter event at the Runaway Bay Golf Club.
