THE EDITOR, Sir:

In response to Mr O. Hilaire Sobers' article titled 'School or revival tent', which appeared in the February 26 issue of The Gleaner, I wish to say the following:

Mr Sobers and I go way back from the time we were both in Sunday school together at Mona Heights Chapel, and I must refer to his article as a very interesting one.

However, what I think we need is not to choose between school or revival tent, but rather, a bit of both, especially remembering that principal Ruel Reid has a duty in shaping the whole man.

The truth is that the Jamaica College boys will accept Christ and his teachings ONLY at their volition. That has not changed.

In the meantime, Mr Sobers, in the words of Oliver Samuels, "Wuk wid it nuh!"
