The Corporate Mingle series had a new venue last Friday, inside the refurbished Courts, Constant Spring store. Entertainment was courtesy of the comedy duo Ity and Fancy Cat.

We asked some minglers why they decided to attend the event and if they found it useful.

I think it's an avenue for professional development, so far it's thoroughly organised, fulfilling and fun. To meet new people within my age group - Jhannel Townsend, brand manager, Betco Premier Limited. First time at Corporate Mingle.

One, I wanted to see the new Courts, I thought it was out of the ordinary from a hotel. Second, to meet people - Denise Garfield, chief accountant, JPS and Partners Co-operative Credit Union.

I've been told it's the new way of interacting with people to see the products they're selling. I don't think people are doing the mingling thing, they're more talking to people they already know.
