THE EDITOR, Sir:

I applaud the efforts of the Child Development Agency (CDA) in carrying out investigations into a suspected child-smuggling ring between Jamaica and another Caribbean territory.

Its efforts have borne fruit, as one person has been arrested and a child was prevented from becoming a victim of the senseless operation.

I do hope that the detectives from the Organised Crime Investigation Division - as well as the CDA - will continue to work assiduously in their investigations and put a further dent in, or totally halt that inhumane child-smuggling ring.
