D Major brings something new to album

D Major's debut album, tentatively titled It's Major is one of the most anticipated albums for this year.

According to D Major, who is known for his rich voice, the album will be a melting pot of genres.

"It's definitely gonna have a pinch of everything. We been waiting on the perfect time to drop it because we wanted to release certain things first. But this album is definitely not one-dimensional," he said.

Born Damian Codlin, D Major cites his musical influences as Beres Hammond, Sam Cooke and Stevie Wonder. crediting them for his passion for music.

The 18-track album will also showcase D Major's versatility and growth as an artiste. "Dem a go hear sounds whe dem never hear D Major with before," he said.

Although the album was executively produced by one of Jamaica's biggest producers, Donovan Germain, other producers including Shane Brown from Juke Boxx Records and Riff Raff also contributed to the songs on the album.

IN FOR A TREAT

Fans are definitely in for a treat when the album is released in the summer. It will include all previously released tracks along with new and exclusive tracks such as Naked and No Distance.

D Major also said he was excited about a new single titled Real Know Bout Yah that will be released in the upcoming weeks.

While anticipation is high for the album, D Major's other songs including Girl of my Dreams and That's What Love is About have been doing extremely well on the African continent.

His other single, A Chimney Records-produced track titled Can't Let Me Go was number one in Zimbabwe recently.

"This album will definitely be a cut above the rest. It will showcase my versatility and maturity as an artiste. It's gonna have party tracks, roots reggae, dancehall! Nobody has done an album like this in a while, it's gonna be major," he said.
