THE EDITOR, Sir:

I find The Gleaner's editorial of Thursday, March 14, 2013 titled 'Davies' critics miss the real debate' to be - as I find the Jamaican Government - insensitive and uncaring and smacks of elitism.

To ask a person who works hard and honestly and still finds it extremely difficult to take care of their most basic needs, while you continue to enjoy the luxuries of life, is an unjust act.

As a contributor to the National Housing Trust, I find the action of the Government to be tantamount to terrorism. To see The Gleaner try to justify this in Thursday's, and previous, articles is rank elitism!
