The Jamaica Yellow Pages has added two innovative products geared at allowing new and small businesses, as well as promoters, free publicity on their JYP website. The Free Business Listing and the Events Calendar, the newest additions to their suite of products, will increase visibility by providing complimentary online advertising which is accessible 24/7 online and via the Jamaica Yellow Pages mobile app.
With over 500,000 searches monthly on Jamaicayp.com, users on either platform benefit from maximum exposure. Plus, the Free Business Listing and the Events Calendar facilitate uploads to the Jamaicayp.com within 24 hours of submission.
The Free Business Listing feature is geared specifically at small and new businesses not currently listed in the directory. Through this service, businesses get a free listing online under one primary classification of their choice, using either a mobile or a landline number. Each new listing is added in alphabetical order to the free listings category at jamaicayp.com/add-your-free-business-listing/. Event promoters, planners, and the general public can add an event to jamaicayp.com/submit-an-event/ and, in addition, can access a comprehensive listing of events across the island, posted in chronological order and featured on the JYP homepage as well as their events page.
Alleyne Graham, marketing manager, Jamaica Yellow Pages, explained the decision behind these new offerings: "We are always creating innovative methods of improving our connection with our customers. Our newest products will put small businesses on the forefront while making them more accessible, so they can get the word out about what they do," Graham said. She explains that event promoters will get added publicity through the JYP platform as the high-traffic website boasts over half a million views monthly. "It's essential to provide solutions that match people's lives, and since Jamaicans are accustomed to having information at their fingertips, we are providing these products on our website where they can get it all."
Graham said that now more than ever, it is important to create value packages for small businesses with opportunities that enhance publicity and extend their corporate footprint. "Right now, everyone is looking for value, and these products hit the right note in bringing business visibility. We are excited about these new ventures, and we are elated to offer them free of cost."
