Popular Jamaican fast-food chain Island Grill has been synonymous with providing quality, healthy and nutritious food to its customers, locally and overseas. At any of the stores, patrons can grab lunch on the go or enjoy the ambience while they dine.
However, with an added catering component, Island Grill now comes directly to you.
The catering division, started late 2011 and launched officially in March of last year, continues to exceed the expectations of clients. From corporate to regular clients, the catering service has grown by leaps and bounds.
"We have the ability to easily produce 1000 meals by lunch time without breaking a sweat," said catering manager, Janet Murphy.
"Many business places have been calling on us already because we exceed expectations and go the extra mile to ensure our clients' satisfaction," Murphy added.
Murphy told The Gleaner Island Grill caterers interact with clients, taking them from conception to completion with ease.
"Our food is ideal for any event. We talk the customers through the process and take into consideration the type of event, the time and duration of the event and when the food will be served," she added.
"For businesses that have regular meetings, we cater to their coffee/lunch breaks and, if they are having training sessions, we also cater for those. We offer quality products and service and ensure that the needs of the customers are met," Murphy said.
The catering menu offers additional items above and beyond what is offered through the Island Grill restaurants, including jerk pork, curry mutton and Creole fish. Customers can contact Island Grill directly with inquiries and they will also create customised menus for each occasion.
"We were the caterers at the recently held Carifta Swimming Championships and also at the Intercol Championships. The response was great and we surpassed their expectations. We utilised our mobile units, customised specifically for us, and we still maintained the superior quality of our products. Word got around and we received more orders," Murphy said.
She added that Island Grill works within the budget of each client.
"The client will say to us that they have a certain amount of money to spend. We help them to figure out what they can do and work with them," Murphy said.
She indicated that there are also high demands for the mobile units. Businesses that require catering services or the use of the mobile units can contact Island Grill at 931-9829.
