Jamaica captain Tamar Lambert said building team confidence will be one of the main areas of focus heading into their Regional Four-day tournament clash with the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) at Sabina Park.
Jamaica, who have already booked their spot in the semi-finals, will face the Regional Super50 finalists in a rescheduled preliminary-round fixture starting this morning at 10.
"It was a disappointment going out in the Super50 semi-finals the way we did, and one of our objectives going into this match is to try and build back some confidence with both bat and the ball," said Lambert.
Jamaica, who went down by five wickets to the Windward Islands in the Super50, are set to make a few changes for the game.
It is understood that the national selectors have taken the decision to rest three players from the 13-man squad, which played in the last four-day game against Guyana. They are Danza Hyatt, Nkrumah Bonner and Andrew Richardson.
Their spots have been taken by young opener Zeniffe Folwer, off-spinner Jamie Merchant and fast bowler Brian Buchanan.
The CCC, in the meanwhile, who lost to the Windward Islands in the Super50 final, are also expected to give a number of their fringe players an opportunity to shine. They are, however, expected to keep the core of their unit, which includes captain Kyle Corbin, Chadwick Walton and Floyd Reifer.
