They often say that the eyes are the windows to your soul and, naturally, those windows ought to have the most beautiful drapes.
The drapery that protects our windows would be our eyewear and today, the eyewear market is witnessing a revolution in style and design.
Our preferred glasses are no longer simply just an aid for persons who need help with their sight, but rather, the latest fashion obsession that transcends its true purpose. While many, particularly women, may believe that the standard gold works best for every outfit and every occasion, you might want to try to switch things up a bit by trying a few different colours, shapes and styles. A professional look is a must-have for the office in either black, metallic or even a cool-blue frame.
The minimalist approach is always good and so on-trend for this season. For the party scene you might go in for a stone-studded silver frame or even something a little more bold with colour, texture or patterns.
Whatever your preference, whatever the occasion, you are bound to find a frame to fit that style.
As is always expected, the Flair Magazine has got the style factor covered. In this week's eyewear edition, we will be focusing on the JFRey handmade collection out of Paris, which is available at Eye Q Optical.
We left the shores of Jamaica and journeyed to the Cayman Islands for a photoshoot that we feel reflects the essence of the eyewear line, 'understated opulence'.
Because people generally recognise you by your face, the eyewear you choose is a very real part of your identity. Whether you want to appear sophisticated, fun-loving, youthful, conservative or style-conscious - the right eyewear can help you shape how you are perceived. And if you choose to wear only one pair for everything you do, that says something about you, too.
Eyewear can help people see the real you, or they can aid in creating the image you want. The key is to find the right frames to match your personality and lifestyle.
The first step is to consider the different aspects of your life. What do you really want your eyewear for? What are the different activities you participate in? What type of work do you do? Different looks suit different occasions and most people can benefit from more than one pair just as much as they need more than one pair of shoes.
Come July 5-7, 2013, Eye Q Optical, in association with JFREY, one of today's most versatile and fast-paced eyewear fashion empires, will host the premier frame style show at their Manor Park and New Kingston branches, where their clientele - current and prospective - will be the first to view and purchase the entire spring/summer collection from JFREY, with exclusive discounts.
