TEN Jamaicans will compete in today's Diamond League track and field athletics meeting in Stockholm, Sweden, including women's 4x100m relay gold medallists Kerron Stewart and Schillonie Calvert.
Stewart placed fifth in the final of the 100m in Moscow, while Calvert bowed out at the Worlds' semi-final.
Three Jamaican women will also line up in the 400m, as they all seek to put the disappointment of the World Championships behind them. The trio will be led by national champion Novlene Williams-Mills, who finished at the back of the field in the event final at the Worlds. The other two Jamaicans down to face the starters in the one-lap event are Rosemarie Whyte and Christine Day, other members of the 4x400m squad that was disqualified during qualifying.
Another Jamaican who had a World Championships to forget, Kaliese Spencer, will be looking to rebound. She was disqualified in the women's 400m hurdles for having not properly cleared the second hurdle in the heats and also formed part of the ill-fated 4x400m relay team.
Mario Forsythe and 2011 World University Games 200m gold medallist Rasheed Dwyer will line up in the half-lap event, while Kimberly Williams and Damar Forbes will contest the women's triple jump and men's long jump, respectively.
