The latest statistics, both locally and internationally, regarding youth unemployment shows the failure of leadership past and present, within the Church, as well as the civic, business and political arenas, to create a strong future for the youth. When a country borrows millions in funding to fix roads and other infrastructure, while our youth remain unemployed and in dire need of training at all levels, schooling, help, as well as serious attention, direction and guidance; then truly the leadership at every level is without vision. Then the time has come for those without vision to step aside.
Each time global change is going to take place, God always looks to the youth. Sadly, many nations neglect them and miss the potential embedded within them. The unemployment and hopelessness now being experienced on the global level is the result of a lack of succession and strategic plans to elevate the youth.
The generation that is currently in positions of power within the nations is extremely selfish - intellectually and otherwise - and have robbed the youth worldwide of the opportunities to be all they can be and do all they can do for global development and growth. Many of the older generation don't believe the youth are capable because they don't see the young people doing things and thinking in a way they believe it should be done. So they refuse to release the reigns to them!
They have put the youth in a difficult position where they have set no proper foundation or examples for them to build on or to follow. So, the youth today now have to seek divine guidance so they can know how to build and how to carry a vision for the next generation. They will have to disregard the examples of extreme selfishness and acts of greed and manipulation and follow the example of David in the Bible. If our youth want to be effective and want to see positive development and growth within their nation, they can't walk the path of the fore-fathers. They will have to walk away from the beliefs, attitudes, strategies, philosophies and religiosities of this generation of Sauls and stand like David!
They will also have to be bold in confronting the Goliaths and the mountains of debt, crime, violence, immorality, hopelessness and loss! They have to think outside the box for a change, and they cannot carry any baggage! They will now have to learn how to be shepherds and how to care for the people! They will have to learn how to deal with resentment, jealousy and envy being entertained by older leaders, ritualistic leaders who don't want to give up 'power'.
They must learn to overcome the internal foes first before they learn to deal with the external ones. The internal foes are the Philistines.
Youth! Be vigilant!
Youth, you must be vigilant! Learn to discern by first cultivating a relationship with the Creator - God. Stay away from false doctrine - New Age doctrines, Scientology, atheism, and stay away from immorality.
You now have the task of ensuring that righteousness is restored within the nation; and that the reproach - which has come through disobedience - is removed.
Youth, ensure that you forgive all those who have afflicted you in your time of preparation and use it as knowledge and wisdom gained.
Ensure that you don't embrace the Strange Woman, she will ravish you! 'The Strange Woman' refers to false doctrine and idol worship. Rejoice with the wife of your youth. The wife of your youth refers to God's foundation. Do not forget God, who is the author of all your blessings.
Let no man despise your youth. That means, don't allow the negative words spoken about you as a young person seeking to do the right thing in the sight of God, or what people think about your ability or skill to accomplish certain things, for God can stop you from achieving what you need to for and through Him.
Let us recognise that the things our young people have to endure, because of the selfishness of a generation, is also being used as their training. These are the bears and lions they are fighting that will remove the pride, ego and selfishness from them.
Youth, remember that you have the resources, regardless of how small it is or may seem - that will feed and strengthen a nation. Just as it was with the boy who had five loaves and two fishes which, when brought before the Lord, was used to feed the multitude that was present!
