THE EDITOR, Sir:
The article, 'Jet-ski nuisance', by Kerrie Williams in The Gleaner of July 27, 2013 was timely and unfortunately somewhat prophetic. The jet-ski nuisance has been with us for some time and the complaints from our visitors and others largely fall on deaf ears.
Now, yet another tragedy has occurred. The appalling loss of an innocent little girl and the frightful injuries to her sisters.
I hope the jet ski operator(s) will soon be brought to justice. Strict regulation of jet ski use is an urgent priority. This would be an opportune time to ban the importation of these noisy gas-guzzling environmental hazards and save lives.
