Correction & Clarification
It was wrongly reported in the Financial Gleaner of August 30, 2013 that retired head of JN Fund Managers, Keith Senior, formerly workedas consultant to the Jamaican Government and served on the boards of Bank of Jamaica and JUTc. Mr. Senior has never worked outside the private sector. The public work relates to a different Keith Senior. We regret the error.
New career move
Patrick Thelwell, general manager of the Jamaica Mortgage Bank, is about to make a new career move.
Thelwell will leave the bank on October 11, and is considering going into investment management and teaching.
Thelwell is a chartered financial accountant and holder of a MBA from the City University of New York.
He declined to say why he was leaving the state-owned mortgage bank.
Hayden takes over from Senior
Keith Senior has retired as general manager of JN Fund Managers Limited (JNFM), a role he had held since 2000. Prior to JNFM, Senior at one point also served as managing director of the former Eagle Merchant Bank.
Brando Hayden is JNFM's new general manager. He was promoted from JNBS assistant general manager for treasury and investments. Hayden, who holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, was previously managing director of Greystone Capital Partners, a boutique advisory firm based in New Kingston.
Mullings has Apptitude
Jamaican David Mullings is now executive chairman at Apptitude Mobile, a design, development and marketing firm based in Tampa, he announced on LinkedIn in August.
He is also the managing partner at Keystone Augusta, which is the majority owner of Apptitude Mobile. Previously, Mullings worked in Jamaica as manager for e-channels and discount business for JNBS.
Tanya hangs on to Kingston
Also in the United States, Tanya Miller has updated her LinkedIn profile to state that she is now president of Kingstonville LLC, a digital marketing company in the Washington DC metro area.
Before emigrating, Miller was vice-president of group marketing for Sagicor Life Jamaica.
