Windies for India?

Deschamps calls up Gonalons
CLAIREFONTAINE, France (AP): France coach Didier Deschamps has called up Lyon midfielder Maxime Gonalons to replace the injured Etienne Capoue for upcoming World Cup qualifiers away to Georgia and Belarus.
Capoue is likely to be unavailable for the next four weeks after scans showed he sprained his left ankle in Tottenham's 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the north London derby on Sunday.
France play Georgia on Friday and Belarus four days later. Deschamps' team is in second place in Group I, one point behind Spain after losing 1-0 at home to the world champions in March.
Deschamps will wait until today before deciding whether to replace Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier, who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
Benzema under pressure
CLAIREFONTAINE, France (AP): Karim Benzema is under pressure to end his 14-game scoring drought with France in upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Belarus.
Benzema has scored twice in three league games for Real Madrid, and also set up two goals in Sunday's 3-1 home win against Athletic Bilbao. But he has not scored for the national team since his brace against Estonia in a friendly before last year's European Championship.
France coach Didier Deschamps has kept faith with him despite a string of frustrating recent performances.
"His lack of efficiency for us is a recurring theme," Deschamps said yesterday. "I hope it ends as soon as possible for his sake and for the team's as well."
France are in second place in Group I, one point behind Spain after losing 1-0 at home to the world champions in March. The Spanish seem in a commanding position, with a match away to Finland on Friday followed by two home games against Belarus and Georgia.
Spain call up Garcia, Fernandez
MADRID (AP): Spain's football federation says that Sergio Busquets and Inigo Martinez will miss the national team's World Cup qualifier against Finland on Friday as well as an upcoming friendly against Chile.
The federation said in a statement yesterday that both internationals have suffered muscle injuries and have been undergoing medical tests at their clubs.
Barcelona says in a statement that Busquets has a muscle strain.
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has called up Javi Garcia of Manchester City and 23-year-old newcomer Ignacio 'Nacho' Fernandez from Real Madrid as replacements.
