Promoter Dre Hype, in collaboration with Raggah Mufinz Entertainment and Bloodstain Entertainment Group, is gearing up to host the first Instahype. The party will be staged at Shoppy's Car Wash, Seaview Road, Stony Hill, St Andrew, on Saturday, September 14. And, according to Dre Hype, Instahype will be fashionably loud.
"Instagram is running the place right now and that app basically encourages people to be fashionable. So in merging the concept of Instagram with what Jamaicans know hype to be, we are looking forward to having an extremely entertaining, high-energy and fashionable event," he said.
Instahype will also be Dre Hype's annual birthday celebration and, as part of marking the occasion, all patrons will be admitted free before 12 a.m.
"You can come to Instahype for free before midnight, because it's all about a fun celebration. The females will be treated with scrumptiously baked cupcakes, courtesy of Suga Buzz Desserts. My supporters have always known me to celebrate my birthday in style with my celeb pals, so I am asking all to turn out early," Dre said.
The musical juggling at Instahype will be carried out by Bloodstain, DJ Phill Dawg, and ZJ Elektra. Elektra told The Gleaner that patrons can expect a unique blend of music from her at the party.
Regarding security, Dre Hype said he has followed the protocol for hosting local events and, therefore, anticipates no problems come September 14.
"We always exercise professionalism and, with Instahype, we have gone through all the rules and, trust me, all is well. We just want our patrons to come prepared for some different levels of entertainment, because it's all comes down to celebration and we have the right formula," he said.
General admission to Instahype is $300. Gates open at 10 p.m. and the party ends at 3 a.m.
